About Us
The inspiration for ElderLife came from LFS’s owner, Lauren Locker’s, experiences in helping her financial planning clients weather emergencies involving aging family members and friends. She began to understand the need for individuals to have immediate access to reliable information on a wide range of elder issues.
She recruited Holly Deni to head this new division of the business. Her experience as a court-appointed guardian for her 104-year-old aunt, and her subsequent adventures as an elder caregiver and advocate led her to pursue this new career path after working as a public librarian for more than 20 years.
Holly earned her designation as a Registered Paraplanner (RP®) from The College for Financial Planning. She then completed a more specialized course of study with The American Institute of Financial Gerontology, certifying her as a Registered Financial Gerontologist (RFGSM). Holly is also a member of the Society of Certified Senior Advisors® and a member of the American Society on Aging.
Holly holds a B.S in sociology and a M.Ed. in guidance and psychological services from Springfield College, and a Masters of Library Science (MLS) from Simmons College.
Also joining the ElderLife staff on a consulting basis is Diane Sclafani. Diane is a registered nurse, employed at a major medical center in New Jersey for more than 25 years. She is now enjoying her job as an RN at the Passaic County Elks Cerebral Palsy Treatment Center. Diane’s nursing expertise includes geriatrics, cardiology, outpatient oncology, pre-admission testing and case management. She received her BSN degree from Felician College, and has studied in the U.S. and England.
After graduation from Montclair State University, Rob Harrison joined the Locker Financial Services in 2004. He earned his designation as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and now also is an valued member of ElderLife.
